 Dunmore East is considered
by many to be Ireland's most beautiful fishing village, incorporating
great charm and elegance with excellent facilities, yet retaining
an atmosphere of old world tranquility and style.
It is not over commercialised, but still adequately caters for one's
needs (shops, hotels, pubs, restaurants, banking facilities, post
office, chemist shop and medical services.
The fishing harbour, which incorporates the yacht club, is in top
three most important fishing harbours in Ireland. The People's Park
and the woods are held in trust by the people of the village for
the enjoyment of all who dwell there.
There are two safe swimming beaches, as well as secluded swimming
coves for the more accomplished swimmer.
The Dunmore East Golf
Club is 5 mintes from the hotel and boasts
some of the most beautiful views of any course in Ireland.
